Maintenance for wood deckings

Wood is a natural material and reacts according to the influences of nature: through wind, weather and sunlight, wood surfaces can crack and gray without care.

To ensure that you enjoy your patio floor for a long time, we recommend that you clean and maintain it on a regular basis.

Step 1: Apply

Depending on how dirty the wood decking is, the intensive cleaning product is applied undiluted or diluted with water.
A pressure sprayer is suited best to ensure that the intensive cleaning product is applied evenly.

Important: Only clean the terrace if the weather is dry and the wooden floor has cooled down. Do not work in excessive heat and avoid direct sunlight.

Step 2: Scrubbing with a brush

Thoroughly work on the wet floor with a scrubbing brush.

Important: Do not let detergent dry out on the decking surface. With a large surface area, it is recommended to clean an individual area at a time before moving on to the next.

Step 2: Scrubbing with cleaning machine

Alternatively, use a cleaning machine such as ‹Rotowash› to achieve best results.

Step 3: Wash up

Wash away the loosened dirt with plenty of water using the garden hose.

If an oil is applied to the terrace floor afterwards, only commence after a complete drying process of about 24h has taken place.

Step 4: Oil

The outdoor oil is applied in a thin layer using the brush and spread evenly.

Allow to dry for 24 hours after application and apply a second coat if necessary.
