Veneer Plum Tree 0.90 mm

The plum wood has a beautiful shiny and smooth surface thanks to its hardness and fine even structure. The sapwood clearly stands out from the heartwood with its yellow to light reddish colour.

Occurrence

The plum tree is native to Asia and southern Europe.

Trunk and bark

The tree reaches a height of up to 8m and a diameter of up to 0.8m. The bark of the plum tree is grey-brown and almost smooth.

Characteristics and wood colour

Scattered pores, fine-grained, uniform structure. Vessels only microscopically visible. Plum is pinkish brown to purplish brown in the heartwood, sapwood yellowish.
