Veneer African Padauk 0.90 mm

The African Padouk is one of the most interesting precious woods, as it has a bright coral-red colour when fresh. As it dries, the colour changes to a velvety crimson to orange-reddish brown. The alternating twisted growth that is usually present gives the wood beautiful glossy streaks, underlining its noble character. Sometimes irregular and dark colour stripes appear, which enliven the wood's appearance.

Characteristics and wood colour

The pore arrangement is scattered and coarse-textured, light to heavy, alternating and wavy grain in Padouk. The wood is coral red, later darkening, sapwood whitish.
