The right floor covering is like a beautiful, large piece of furniture. Together with harmonious interior design, it makes a decisive contribution to making you feel particularly comfortable and secure at home. And like any piece of furniture, parquet flooring can be made from a wide variety of fine woods.

Each type of wood has its own character and can have a decisive influence on your individual style of living. A walnut plank, for example, looks extremely noble with its warm dark brown colour, while a plank made of a more reddish cherry tree shows a little more fire. A light maple parquet moves visually into the background and makes dark rooms appear lighter and larger. A medium brown teak floor, on the other hand, has a warm and calming effect with its quiet grain. Oak is available in various shades of brown, from the naturally light shade to a deep dark brown if the wood has been smoked. And each shade conjures up a different mood in the room.

We process all these noble hardwoods in our three-layer plank PROFI by adler with a wear layer of approx. 4.0 mm. These planks are manufactured without a bevel, i.e. with a sharp edge, and are given our naturally warm, yet hard-wearing NATURA+ oil finish.

The plank PROFI by adler is formaldehyde-free, approved by the building authorities and generally complies with the fire protection class Dfl-S1, all oak planks even with the higher class Cfl-S1.

Dimensions and packaging

PROFI by adler is produced in two widths, 146 or 186 mm, depending on the type of wood, and in lengths up to 2200 mm. The parquet planks are packed in cartons of 8 planks each.

Assortment

We offer oak in a "standard" grading, i.e. with knots but without sapwood. All other wood species are available in the "classic" mixed assortment.

Surface treatment & colour variations

As standard, we produce all our hardwood floorboards from the parquet collection PROFI by adler NATURA+ WOCA oiled on a smooth sanded surface. We recommend a finish treatment with WOCA maintenance oil after installation for private or commercial use. Wood is a natural product. Depending on the ingredients in the wood and the wood grain, there can always be colour variations in colour-treated surfaces. These colour differences can occur between different product batches, but also within one product batch. This applies in particular to coloured surfaces, as smoking, staining, lyes and the application of colour pigments can lead to different colour shades due to the wood structure. However, this is a testimony to the authenticity of the natural product "wood".

Installation & underfloor heating

The PROFI by adler product can be laid as a floating floor or glued to your screed over its entire surface. We also approve our PROFI by adler plank for hot water-based underfloor heating. The thermal resistance of this product is approx. 0.125 m²k / W (according to EN14342). Should you wish to install this wood plank PROFI by adler on an underfloor heating system, we always recommend a full-surface bonding on your screed. The maximum surface temperature of 23°C to 28°C should not be exceeded. For the exact guidelines for installation on underfloor heating, please refer to the installation instructions.

Care & indoor climate

To ensure that you get a lot of pleasure from your three-layer multilayer parquet after installation, you should care for it accordingly. You should also pay attention to a healthy room climate for your parquet, which is made of the living natural material "wood", but also for you. This exists at a relative humidity of approx. 40 to 60% and a pleasant room temperature of 19 to 22°C. If you do not comply with these guideline values, you should take appropriate care of your parquet. If you do not adhere to these guideline values, your wooden floor can suffer great damage.

Certification

The PROFI plank can be produced as PEFC or FSC 100% certified parquet on request. Please always ask specifically before placing an order whether certified raw material is available.
